To Place Custom Annotation

  1. Select an option from the Custom Annotations taskbar. (Example: Generic Annotations) A dialog displays listing the available predefined Annotation Types.
Note: The Equipment and Pipeline Annotation options display the same dialog as the Generic Annotations option but the Annotation Types list is filtered to contain only the types related to the selected option.
  2. Select an Annotation Type from the list.
  3. Click Place. The annotation name will be ghosted onto the cursor.
  4. Pass the cursor over the component to be annotated. The annotation cursor will now display the actual annotation values of the line. (Example: Pipeline Run-Size annotation may display as P1-4")
  5. Optional: When placing the Box Annotation Types (Equipment Box, Equipment Labeled Box etc.) you need to snap to the component before the annotation properties are recognized. Also, the annotation values will not display until you select the placement point for the annotation.
  6. Select a placement point for the annotation in the drawing.
